WELCOME TO THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF DENTAL NURSES!
The British Association of Dental Nurses is the UK’s only recognised professional association for dental nurses. All dental nurses may join BADN, whether or not they are qualified, no matter where they work, and regardless of age, gender or race.
BADN is run by a Council of elected dental nurses, all of whom give up their free time to further the profession of dental nursing. Council is composed of a Chairman, President, Immediate Past President (or President-elect) and Finance Officer; the Regional Coordinators; the Chairmen of the National Groups; and the Chairman of the Health & Safety Advisory Committee .
The day to day administration is carried out by the Association’s own staff at the headquarters in Fleetwood.
BADN represents the interests of dental nurses at all levels with all appropriate organisations – the General Dental Council , for example, the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses , or the British Dental Association .
In addition, BADN organises the Annual BADN Dental Nursing Conference, which is open to all members of the dental team, not just BADN members. Full BADN membership costs just £70 per year – and we have discounted rates for student dental nurses, retired dental nurses, those no longer working in dentistry, and those working part time.
