Virtual Coffee Catch-up

Upcoming meeting:

Saturday 25 September 2021 at 3:00pm

Guest Speaker:

Tony Smith from "Teeth4Life"

A new interactive way of networking opportunities with fellow dental nurses, members of BADN Executive Committee, and other special guests.

The purpose of these meetings is to offer you the latest information, and the opportunity to network with other dental nurses across the United Kingdom, and chat with our BADN President, Jacqui Elsden and members of the BADN Executive Committee and staff. In addition, a special speaker will provide valuable insights regarding a specific topic each month.

What to expect

Guest speaker

This month, Tony will deliver a presentation regarding the new 'Teeth4Life' application and how it can help dental nurses.

Tony retired from wet fingered dentistry September 30 last year. Since then, he continued with his vision of promoting public prevention in Oral Health. He made an App teeth4life which can be downloaded for free.. Please press the INFO button on the front page, and have a play around on it. You can customise the App for yourself via

Following his repeated contact with NHS, Tony can't see much funding to support prevention, and this is why he is keen to continue with the App. Are you interested? Would you like to customise your App, but are worried it is too complicated? Are the instructions on the Teeth4life YuouTube channel not clear enough? Would you like to make your content for yourself or the practice? Tony hopes to maintain a Freemium version for the public and the majority of DCPs.

We are now offering a free 30 minute CPD in our monthly Catch Up sessions. Each guest speaker presentation will provide 30 minutes of CPD. In order to receive a certificate, an attendee must be:

Thank you for organising the indemnity topic with guest speaker Sharon Brennan - really helpful, interesting and important topic for me. Discussions through the meeting were absolutely helpful as well. So again - THANK YOU.

Once again a big thank you for hosting the coffee catch up for dental nurses on Saturday 28th November. It was a really enjoyable afternoon, great to have the opportunity to chat with you all! The presentation on indemnity by Sharon Brennan was both useful and enlightening, certainly highlighted a few areas to double check when considering other sources of insurance. Good presentation, useful subject and great company!

The event Coffee CatchUp was so delightful, I was really impressed. Thanks for the 10% discounts on coffee you sent to me. I’m really looking forward to joining on the next event.

I've done so much cpd over the years and attended courses, study days and webinars but never had one on indemnity insurance before. What a great topic. I found it very helpful and took lots of notes. The speaker was very informative and I've come away reassured. I've told others about this webinar and they can tell that I got a lot out of it too. Thank you very much.

I really enjoyed the coffee morning and found everyone very friendly, I’ll look forward to the next one.

Both the content and the presentation of the CPD course on Indemnity ,given by Sharon, were concise, enjoyable and relevant to my position. The Q &A session was unhurried and able to answer any concerns there might have been on this involved subject . An enjoyable couple of hours.
