A virtual networking event for dental nurses and fellow dental care professionals for you to meet new colleagues and hear about the latest developments from the world of dentistry, the Association and our special guest speakers with free CPD.
The coffee catch-up has been created during the Covid-19 pandemic to offer members and non-member dental care professionals virtual way to the latest information from the world of dentistry, the opportunity for networking and connecting with with other dental nurses across the United Kingdom, and chat with our BADN President, the members of the BADN Executive Committee, and the staff. We also host special guest speakers who deliver valuable insights regarding a specific topic each month with the aim of helping attendees learn and expand their knowledge. Some sessions also offer FREE CPD certificates.
We also sometimes host special quiz games where you have a chance to win some prizes. The quizes are related to the speakers presentation to test your knowledge on the subject. If there is a quiz game scheduled for the speakers presentation, we will either include this information below or let you know in an e-mail upon registering, including all the necessary details prior to the event on how to take part.

Cpl Ella Ferguson
Ella joined the RAF as an unqualified Dental Nurse in May 2017. She completed Phase 1 Training before progressing to Phase 2, which focused on military trade training for Dental Nursing. Following this, she was posted to RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire, where she spent three years working towards her portfolio with the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) while preparing for her theory and practical exams. In January 2019, she successfully passed her NEBDN exams and registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). In 2020, Ella was deployed to the Falklands for four months, where she worked as a Dental Nurse in the local practice. Upon returning to the UK, she was posted to RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire, where she was given the opportunity to act up as Practice Manager. A few months later, she took on a similar role at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. These experiences and exposure led to her promotion to the rank of Corporal in 2022, enabling her to transition into her current position within the EAST Dental Regional Headquarters as the Regional Equipment Manager. In this role, she manages procurement, disposals, and oversees equipment care across 13 facilities. In addition to her primary role, Ella also works part-time as one of the Dental Recruitment Leads, attending dentistry shows, career fairs, and colleges to promote the RAF Dental Branch.
Cpl Janelle Jack
Janelle joined the Royal Air Force in 2007, completing Phase 1 training at RAF Halton, where she received the Commander’s Trophy for Best Recruit. She then undertook Phase 2 training in Aldershot, earning the Most Improved Student Award upon qualifying as a Dental Nurse. She was first stationed at RAF Northolt, where she gained her civilian Dental Nurse qualification and registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). Subsequent postings at RAF Halton and RAF Brize Norton involved supporting Phase 1 students, delivering dental care, and assisting with vocational training for dentists. Janelle deployed to the Falkland Islands in 2013, providing dental care and delivering oral health presentations, earning a Commander’s Commendation. A second deployment in 2021 saw her working through the COVID outbreak, demonstrating adaptability and leadership. Promoted to Corporal, she took on key roles at RAF Cosford and Defence Medical Services Whittington, overseeing clinical quality assurance and oral health initiatives. Actively involved in the RAF Ethnic Minority Network, she was invited to the Royal Navy Commonwealth Network King’s Coronation Reception and, in November 2024, received the Cloutman’s Award for her contributions to diversity and inclusion.

"I've done so much cpd over the years and attended courses, study days and webinars but never had one on indemnity insurance before. What a great topic. I found it very helpful and took lots of notes. The speaker was very informative and I've come away reassured. I've told others about this webinar and they can tell that I got a lot out of it too. Thank you very much."
