DCP Annual Renewal Now Open

The General Dental Council’s annual renewal period for dental care professionals is now open.

BADN would like to remind all dental nurses and other DCPs to log in to MyGDC early, check their details and complete their renewal in good time.

As part of annual renewal, DCPs need to pay their Annual Retention Fee and make their indemnity declaration by 31 July 2026. DCPs will also need to make their CPD statement by 28 August 2026.

Leaving renewal until the last few days can create unnecessary stress, especially if there are any issues with logging in, payment, personal details or CPD records. Completing the process early gives DCPs more time to check everything carefully and resolve any problems before the deadline.

BADN encourages members to:

  • Log in to MyGDC as soon as possible.
  • Check that personal and contact details are up to date.
  • Make sure indemnity arrangements are in place.
  • Review CPD records and confirm that the required CPD statement can be completed.
  • Complete payment before the deadline


The GDC website homepage will direct DCPs to annual renewal information from 8 June, and DCPs can also log in directly to MyGDC to complete the process.

BADN will continue to share reminders during the renewal period to help dental nurses stay informed and avoid missing key dates.

Key dates
