GDC welcomes new members of executive team

The General Dental Council (GDC) has today announced the arrival of Sarah Keyes as their new Executive Director, Organisational Development, and Stefan Czerniawski as their new Executive Director, Strategy, following departures earlier this year.

Sarah joins the GDC with a strong human resources background gained predominantly in regulatory organisations, most recently as the Director of Organisations Change at Ofcom. Leading the GDC’s Organisational Development directorate, Sarah takes the helm of the regulator’s human resources, people development and inclusion functions.

Stefan arrives at the GDC from a career in the Civil Service, where he had senior leadership roles across strategy, policy, regulatory oversight and change, including as Strategy Director at the Department for Work and Pensions. He joins the regulator to head up its Strategy directorate, a brief which covers policy development, education quality assurance, communications and engagement.

GDC Chief Executive and Registrar, Ian Brack, said:

We are delighted to welcome Sarah and Stefan to the GDC. As we approach 2020 and the beginning of our new three-year strategy, this is a crucial time in the organisation’s development and I look forward to working with the executive team and wider colleagues in achieving our goals.”
