National Minimum Wage Increase from April 2020
The government is introducing an increase in National Minimum Wage from 1 April 2020. The government sets a minimum amount you must get paid on average for the hours you work. This is called the National Minimum Wage (NMW) or the National Living Wage (NLW) if you're aged 25 or over.
The minimum wage rates varies depending on your age and whether you're an apprentice.
