Vote for BADN Chief Executive Pam Swain in Dentistry's Top 50

BADN is delighted that our Chief Exec Pam Swain has been shortlisted for Dentistry’s Top 50, and is inviting you to vote for Pam at www.dentistry.co.uk/top50. Pam celebrates 30 years of working for the Association this year, having joined ABDSA (as it was then) in 1992. She is the longest-serving dental association Chief Exec and one of the longest serving dental editors, having edited the “British Dental Nurses’ Journal since 1995.

Pam worked briefly for the Home Office in London before moving on to Vienna, Brussels and Bermuda to work in several MNEs including CPC International, Hilton International, NATO and the Bank of Bermuda, followed by a year’s sabbatical at the Massage Institute of New England in Boston. Her journey with BADN started in 1992. The association was then called the Association of British Dental Surgery Assistants (ABDSA).

As part of her responsibilities, Pam is also an Editor of the British Dental Nurses’ Journal® and a regular contributor to many dental journals, including “The Probe”. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Association Management, the Chartered Management Institute, awarded the City & Guilds Licentiate in Management in 2005, and a Master’s in Business Administration in 2007.

Having been a part of BADN for over 30 years, Pam displays an outstanding level of dedication towards her role as a Chief Executive. She is a well known and highly valued individual amongst other dental organisations within the world of dentistry nationwide. Her responsibilities ensure the Association thrives, continuously exceeds the standards for our members and retains its status as the professional association for dental nurses in the United Kingdom.
