Established in 1940, The British Association of Dental Nurses is the professional organisation specifically for all dental nurses – whether qualified or unqualified, working in General Practice, Hospital, Community, the Armed Forces, Industry, Practice Management or Reception. It is only with the continuing support of Dental Nurses through membership of the Association that we can continue to support Dental Nurses themselves, negotiate on their behalf and represent the interests of Dental Nurses at all levels.
BADN Council is made up of dental nurses elected by the members, so we know what challenges dental nurses are facing, what dental nurses are interested in, what dental nurses want! Our Annual Conference, held each year, provides an opportunity for members of the dental team to meet with colleagues, socialise and of course, further their professional education, offering up to 8 hours verifiable CPD. The Conference is held in a different location each year to enable dental professionals throughout the UK (and frequently from other countries) to attend.
Current BADN members benefit from a discount on Conference registration fees.
Members in all categories have access to our digital quarterly journal “The British Dental Nurses’ Journal”. In addition, members have access to our legal helpline, as well as information on salaries and conditions of employment, training opportunities, seminars and study days, and Local Group Meetings.
Through BADN Benefits, members can obtain discounts on car and home insurance renewal, gym membership, holidays and travel, airport car parking and lounges and vehicle servicing – to name just a few! Members can also earn cashback on supermarket shopping and make savings at restaurants. There really is something for everyone!
